Costruzione Cello

Violoncello Luiz Amorim 2017, copia Domenico Montagnana “Sleeping Beauty” 1739

The original cello was owned by the Fitzharding family, and after years, and years laid untouched in the Berkeley Castle, the virtuoso cellist Gregor Piatigorsky was the one who awakened the Sleeping Beauty, and brought it back to life.

Travelling and playing uncounted concerts together, the cello was in an impressive state of preservation with a powerful sound. Luiz replicates all of its scratches, traces and history into a beautiful work of art, giving attention to all details.

Costruzione Violino

Violino Luiz Amorim, copia Giuseppe Guarneri “del Gesù” Cannone, 1743

"Il Cannone" is a violin made by Guarneri "del Gesù" in 1743 in Cremona. The violin belonged to Paganini, the illustrious violinist of the 19th century. He named it since he affectionately called it "my cannon violin" because of its power and resonant sound.⠀

Some very distinct characteristics of this masterpiece are somewhat the high sides, the imponent scroll, and its bold structure."Il Cannone" ranks as the greatest masterpiece of Guarneri ''del Gesù."⠀

Costruzione Violino

Violino Luiz Amorim, copia Giuseppe Guarneri “del Gesù” Sainton, 1744

Its bold form highlights Guarneri's late work; its expressive work shows the typical identity of ''del Gesù". The Fs lean towards each other and the purfling cut and finish confirm ''del Gesù's" exceptional work.

This violin highlights his freedom of expression, as in his final works each head seems to be different from any other.

A skilfully handcrafted violin, beautifully copied in every single detail of the original one. Follows the best Italian craftsmanship tradition featuring Luiz's passions of liberty and expressiveness in a work of art.

Costruzione Violino

Violino Luiz Amorim, copia Giuseppe Guarneri “del Gesù” Cessole, 1736

Each one of Guarneri's instruments is sort of a new experiment; he shows a continuous development always searching for something better. This violin highlights his way of work, with an appearance of delicacy, commonly not expected from ''del Gesù''.

The arching becomes fuller, and the sound holes are set higher; the edges and corners are somewhat delicate and refined - a constant characteristic of Guarneri's middle period. The head, like others from this period, was made by his father Giuseppe Guarneri ''Filius Andrea'', whose heads are recognizable by the delicate and uniform symmetry of the volute. The body of the violin is a little small, a few millimetres shorter than a standard Stradivari.

Strumenti Antichi

Violino Enrico Marchetti, Cuorgnè, 1898

A beautiful two-piece back violin with open flames. Its unique characteristics highlight Marchetti's excellent craftsmanship – the very inclined Fs, perfectly fitted on the curve of level and the edges, quite thick for a violin, bring the beautiful bold aspect of its appearance.

The scroll follows a particular pattern, with a very smooth and flat carving. The F wings are well carved deep and pronounced from the beginning. It features a stunning golden brown color, with smooth and delicate patina on the entire instrument.

A beautiful, expressive, and appealing instrument. Currently, in a good state of preservation, adjusted by the hands of our skilfully luthiers.⠀
