In Parma since 1986, a bit hidden from view at the end of a courtyard, I build violins, violas and cellos with the same enthusiasm as my first steps. I continue to listen carefully to comments and advice from colleagues, musicians and friends, trying to surpass myself with each new instrument. I work by not reproducing the models of the Masters of the past, but by making their footprints my own and letting myself be guided by the emotions moved by their instruments to offer the musician something new and unique. My experience and my mastery in construction guarantee an aesthetic as well as acoustic imprint capable of satisfying the highest demands.
I designed this violin in winter 2019/2020 experimenting with the drawing method based on the musical proportions of François Denis. It is therefore a new model of mine, and it wants to be the synthesis of my previous models.
The measures of the instrument are:
Front made in spruce from Val di Fiemme.
Back, ribs and neck made of Balcani maple.
Oily resinous varnish of brown red color.
This instrument was built at the end of 2019, following the same model of the last cellos I built, namely a model inspired by a Testore copy made by Gaetano Sgarabotto. The volute, the corners and the f holes were designed by me.
The measures of the instrument are:
Front made in spruce from Val di Fiemme.
Back, ribs and neck made of Balcani maple.
Oily resinous varnish of brown red color.
